It is a delightful internet-based language immersion program for children 3 to 10 years old that are learning English. Using Blue Wolf & Friends daily will help your child build a strong foundation in English. It can be used alone, or as an excellent complement to classroom learning. Blue Wolf & Friends: it's videos, music, stories, activities, games, fantasy, and reality! At the heart of the Blue Wolf & Friends program are energizing videos that expose your child to real language spoken by real children.

The program is laid out in Units of 5 lessons. Each unit focuses on teaching your child 50 important words, and builds on the previous unit. The units are shown below with the different colors: green (50 words), blue (100 words), yellow (150 words), and pink (200 words).

The program has a number of elements, and each one helps your child to understand and begin to use English. Each lesson should be use for approximately 1 week, therefore, each unit will take 5 weeks. Each lesson has the following components:

UNIT 1 UNIT 2 UNIT 3 UNIT 4

Introduction - a short description in your child's native language, of the stories that will be seen in each lessons video. Vocabulary - Click on each of the 9 pictures, and the picture says its name in English. These are important words and phrases that will be seen in the video. Video - Each lesson has an 8 to 10 minute video program that has three sections: A Real Life Scenario, a Storybook Scenario, and a classroom or activity. Review - a short review of the video in your child's native language. Activity - a fun project that you printout and make with your own hands, it is intended to get your child using English. Assessment - a game your child plays to help determine if they understand the material from each lesson. Progress - When your child successfully completes the lesson and the assessment, their progress is tracked here. Library - The library contains many songs, the child should listen to them as often as they like.

Blue Wolf & Friends is a language immersion program, to get maximum benefit, use it 5 to 7 days per week with your child, it is best to do it twice a day for 10 to 15 minutes. A typical weeklong schedule the focuses on a single lesson would be as follows:

 

 

START		To Start a video or song, click on the green arrow.

As your child completes a lesson, their progress will automatically be tracked in the "my progress" section. The path below shows a child who has completed the first 3 lessons.
